About The Big Issue Street Soccer
Every Thursday from 3pm to 5pm The Big Issue organises a soccer game in Parramatta Park. It is held in the West Domain area of the park, so it is closest to Westmead train station, which is a short 5 or 10 minutes walk away.
Numbers vary but there should be at least enough for 4 or 5 a side and sometimes up to about 7 or 8 a side, depending on who turns up on the day. The numbers will likely gradually grow as some people arrive a bit later than others. Different coloured bibs are provided to each team to wear.
There are breaks in the game and free bottles of water and snacks are provided.
Abraham Majok runs this program. Just turn up ask to join in and you will be put on a side.
